Hi, I have a Toyota Yaris from 2003. I have one of those alarms that is also an immobilizer, i.e. I have to punch in a four digit code which opens my car doors (as in alarm) and of course also operates as the immobilizer.
However the connection is not being made anymore between the alarm/remote and the car itself. I know it is not the battery becasue the red light on the remote lights up when I hit the keys, so the battery of the remote is definitely not the problem.
What might the probelm be, and how would I fix it? currently I cannot even take my car to the garage.
