I rebuilt the engine. I'm trying to start it, but the spark is not on the compression stroke. It's 180 degrees off. I was very careful to make sure the chain and all marks lined up. Could this be a problem with the cam position sensor, or is it something else. Thanks in advance.

If the ignition timing is 180º off, the timing chain installation should be correct. Either the crank position or camshaft position sensor plate is installed reversedly.
