Cannot remove rear wheel brake disc

Cannot remove rear wheel brake disc on my 2003 Rav4, disc is free to move on hub, but is being held by the parking brake which is preventing me from pulling the disc off. How do I release the parking brake?

Those can be tough to remove, you must shock the rotor with a hammer.
