I have a 2003 100 series standard diesel land cruiser. Recently the tacho and oil pressure gauges have been intermitently dropping in and out whilst the other instruments remain fully functional. Would appreciate any info/advice as I am trying to sell the vehicle.

Such problem are most likely due to a bad connection at the meter cluster. It could be a bad soldered joint. You need to remove the meter cluster to have a closer look and repair if necessary.

It is not a mechanical fault so not easy to detect, furthermore being intermittent.

Get someone who is good with electricals to have a look at the meter cluster.

I had one of these with a similar problem a while ago, it was a cracked circuit board in the cluster, may be worth having a look at this.
