Had trouble putting 2003 Toyota highlander into park. Had to push it hard. Now car won't start. Not a battery problem.

You will need to re adjust the selector mechanism, the transmission isolator switch may also be out of adjustment, this switch enables start in park and neutral only, although the selector is in park the switch may not be registering this and no start will result, often the precursor is pushing harder on the shifter to get it to start.
