My engine lights stays on and it makes an annoying noise. What could be wrong and what do I do?

Apologies please, it's the oil sign that's on even though there's enough oil, and it makes a noisy sound while the engine is on. The mechanic has changed the oil pump yet the noise still persists. Please what could have caused this problem in the first place and how do I solve it?
