knocking sound when accelerating corolla

oil and tranny fluid are within range. it started out when we accelerated only and would stop, then if you let off the gas it knocks some more as it revs down., but now its pretty constant. does not sound good even idling now...

Check to see if the noise is from the engine. It could be a rod or main bearing in the engine.
