I have an 03 Toyota Camry with 88,000 miles. A few months back my AC stopped blowing cold air and the light on the AC button started to flash. Does anyone know what this means?

The flashing of the light indicates the control module sees a malfunction, usually related to the compressor. It sounds like it needs a recharge this guide and video can help fix it

They don't use freon anymore. Go to the auto parts store and tell them you need a can of R-13 refill. You have to locate the lowpoint filler to hook it up. If the auto parts guys are nice, they will show you right where to hook it up. Once you know wher to hook it up. Follow the directions on the bottle (turn your a/c on full blast, etc)

The air cond stopped working, now the on button light just flashes on and off. Could this be the mg clutch relay, if so, what does it look like?

Hi there,

there could be a number of problems here, I would first be checking the system pressures and the charge of refrigerant, start here.

Check to see if the compressor is locking normally. If not, check to see if there is power to it. If there is, check freon level. If no power, check cycle switch.

Air Conditioning problem
2003 Toyota Camry 4 cyl 39000 miles

This is the first time I have had any trouble at all with the air conditioner on this relatively low mileage vehicle.

When I depress the air conditioner button it lights up but instead of staying on continuously it blinks at me and I get no cool air out of the vents.

Could you please tell me what the possible cause can be.

I had a similair problem. I had the AC charged and the same thing happened like you described. I researched it online.

What I found out was that it was most likely the magnetic relay switch. It is located under the hood on the right side in a fuse box. I was quoted around 60.00 for the part. My car was still under warrenty so I had the dealership replace it and everthing works fine now.

It looks like a basic fuse replacement. Pull old one out and replace with the new one? I would of done it myself but it was still under warrenty.
