Radiator fan does not turn on which results in overheating of car. Check engine light is not on. Mechanic has grounded one terminal of radiator fan relay and now fan remains permanently on but this is not a permanent solution. What should i do?

check to see if the relay is any good or the ground going to eh relay is good. it could also be the coolanttemp switch or ecm wiring issue.

without having someone check this out is like telling your the moon is purple. it cold be an ecm issue and yes a thermostat cold as well but highly unlikely.
