Hi, got a question about temp gauge on 2003 wrx turbo. We did a little work on it, new head gaskets, water pump, thermostat, timing belt ,turbo, injectors and oil and temp sensors. now when running i get a false reading on the temp gauge. It shows that the temp is maxed out but when i get live data for the obdII port the temp is fine. so replaced temp sensor again thinking might be bad one and nothing, it still shows hot. It's not running hot at all it just shows hot, runs fine otherwise. any help would be appreciated

Check to make sure the wiring to the sensor wasn't damaged or pinched when you did the work. That would short it out and cause the false reading.
