I have a 2003 Subura Forester. I need to replace the head gasket. What is the estimate to replace the head gasket?

I just had it done @ a Carx. Quoted $1200. Paid $2350. Said needed to replace Forester head gasket bolts @ $150. Had timing belt & water pump replaced too. 2003, 96,000 miles.
