Water on the passenger floor after a rain. Am wondering if the heater core is leaking or if there is a way for water to come through the doors.
If it is the heater core, how do I check it?
Could it be a hose leaking from the heater?

Typically if the heater core is leaking, it leaks coolant. Is the residue on the passenger floor board only water or does it have an oily consistency like coolant? I would check to see the AC drain is clogged. Most people use the HVAC system during the rain so it seems like it's related to the rain. The evaporated sweats and drains through a tube that drips out of under the vehicle. If it becomes clogged, it overflows onto the passenger floor. Hope this helps. Let me know what you find. Thanks.

Just to add to this one they had a problem with those vues that the seams on the heater ac box would leak water from the condensation from the evaporator core thru the seam.
