Your going to need a engine support fixture to hold up the engine and transmission while you remove the sub frame then you will have to remove the transmission.
This is the job being done on a similar car but the procedure is the same.
Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

I recently had my engine go in my truck. I replaced the engine with one from a Chevy cobalt. Question is my clutch is going and I need a new clutch kit. Do I get a Vue clutch kit? Or cobalt? Are they compatible?

Ok this all depends on what flywheel was kept. If you kept the flywheel from the Vue then you buy a clutch kit for the Vue. Now if you kept the flywheel from the Cobalt then that is the clutch kit you will buy. The spline counts for both are the same it is the clutch diameter of the clutch that is different. The Vue is a 9" clutch and the Cobalt is a 8 7/8" clutch. Hope this helps. Thanks.

On way to work got on interstate through all 5 gears just fine. Got off at exit and little to no clutch pedal. Started car in 2nd and eased into 3rd and limped to work parking. After work, no puddle in parking area. No puddle in driveway. Is there a way to tell if this is a master cylinder problem? Or a slave cylinder problem? Should I attempt to fix myself or take to garage? I am good mechanically.

Try to gravity bleed by just opening bleeder on slave cylinder and letting the fluid run out keep the clutch master cylinder full. If you get a clutch back I would suspect a master cylinder. Look under the dash at where the master comes inside see if you see fluid there.

The other night the clutch stopped functioning - it was no longer giving any resistance when applying my foot to the pedal - and I could not put my car in gear. Today my husband bled the clutch line, pulled and replaced the master clutch cylinder, pulled the pressure for the fluid replacement - still no clutch. It is still very loose when placing my foot on it. The reservoir for the clutch fluid was full when we opened everything up. Suggestions?

The most common thing that leak's and fail's is the clutch slave cylinder inside the transmission clutch housing. Take a look under your car and see if the transmission clutch housing is wet.
