Was driving on the interstate. I wanted to pass a car. I pressed the gas pedal, the car shifted into it's passing gear. The diminished power indicator and the engine indicator came on. The car did not turn off, but when I pressed the gas pedal, nothing happened. The rpms didn't even increase. When I coasted to the side of the road, I turned the car off. After letting it sit for a few minutes, I tried re-starting it. It would start but then turn off. It would stay on as long as I pressed the gas pedal.
