2003 Saturn L300 ac will not turn on

I bought this Saturn knowing the ac did not work but went to buy a new ac climate control and found the same problem. The ac will not display or turn on at all. The light comes on but the ac will not turn on at all and no readings on the climate control. Can anyone please help.

Does the ac display say low or anything like that?Did you buy a used ac control or new one?Have you checked the outside temp sensor in the front grill to see if its there or plugged in?That will cause the ac to be inop.
