My Toxic Fume warning light came on the other day and i just want to know what could have caused this problem?

The light is illuminated constantly while the ignition is running.
It isn't effecting the way the car performs in any way but the MOT test is up and I just want to get a rough idea of what the problem is and roughly how much it will cost to fix. So any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You need to get a scan done to find out what is wrong. That is a malfunction indicator light.
