2003 Pontiac Grand Transmission Dip Stick Located On Engine Check Fluid Does

I do not know why my transmission dip stick is located on the engine so I can check my fluid, or does this model even have on e? It is an automatic. I know it takes a filter but what about fluid/ Please help.

There should be a sight plug where you check tranny fluid level. You need to safely raise and support the vehicle, the sight plug is by the halfshaft.
