The intermittent blower motor problem was noticed first. It may have been that it took more than one key turn to start before then but it was not noticed if so. Both the blower resister and blower motor have been replaced, but to no avail as the problem still persists. Usually, but not always the blower does not come on at start up. It must be on high before it will come on. Tuning to a lower setting usually causes if to stop but once in a while it will still run when turned down. If the controls are never touched things work better including starting. When it won't start playing with controls and brake and shift and whatever between key turns as all got it to go eventually, (sometimes as long as 5 minutes). Was, only stranded once when getting gas. Had to push it into a parking place and came back later at night when it was cooler and got it to go after another 5 minute session.

More starter detail: The engine does not crank when it won't start. When the key is turned it just does nothing. Sometimes the second or third try gets it to crank, occasionally it cranks after holding the key turned for a couple seconds. If not then it another session of playing randomly with other stuff until it in some way gets "unstuck".

the common denominator is the ignition switch. you should have this checked as it may be bad or the connector may be melted.
