Overheating, low power, and TRAC OFF light illuminated.

As I drove my 2003 Pontiac Grand Am the car started to over heat then quickly lost power and the Trac Off light came on. Any suggestions as to what this could be?

Check the coolant level and cooling fans operations. Get a scan done to check for trouble codes.
