cig lighter fuse keeps blowing out.

The car blows the cig lighter fuse alot it won't last long. What should i do?

Disconnect the wiring to the cig lighter-Check continuity on the Cig lighter center contact and the socket housing any reading represent the socket is shorted out if not the power feed to it is shorted to ground somewhere else
