grand am 03 engine shaking, red hot just past the resonator, and when put in drive or reverse starts to choke out. and bad burning smell but think thats because exhaust is red hot. replaced plugs checked cat and cleaned injecters

what color were old plugs? are you getting spark to all cylinders? when did this problem start?

started yesterday, not sure if getting spark to all cyclinders old plugs were black on bottoms

sounds like your running too rich. check fuel pressure reg vac hose for gas if so it's bad. check if MAF is dirty.
