Top brake light, blinkers, taillights, work; fuses and bulbs good; lower brake lights DO NOT work; van does have a connection to attach lights of a trailer and trailers lights work.

How do I follow brake light line to find out where it is disconnected? What if line is severed?

Check to see if there is power going into multi function switch that my be the problem. If power comes out the lt blu and yellow wires then have it scanned for codes by a pro because it may be the drl module or body module bad.

Thanks. I'll have someone check that.
I should add that recently I had a trailer hitch put on. I've used it with a trailer several times with no problems.
Then, a trailer was not properly attached and it came off while pulling the trailer.
It was reattached, the trailer lights worked fine but I don't know if the car's brake lights were affected at that time.
It was after that incident that the van's brake lights were not working.
I was thinking about having the guys that put the hitch on see if they can tell what wire is loose.
