Several hours after turning off car and lights the back brake lights come on draining battery. This has happened for two nights

Check the brake switch. You can pull the stop fuse, when your through with the vehicle for the day, till you find the problem. That should stop it from draining the battery at night. You HAVE to remember to replace the fuse before you drive the vehicle. Driving without brake lites is dangerous.
