my car shakes when on

my 03 nissan sentra has trouble staying on and it shakes, when it start to turn off i have to step on the gas so it can stay running...need help

Do you have a check engine light and when was the last tune-up??

Clean out the idle air control valve-auxillary air control and the fast idle control device, to include the EGR valve and see what happnens
