How do you reset the tachometer needle after replacing the car battery?

Check if it is on the wrong side of the little peg that sets its position at "0". If it is, just rev the engine more than half scale. Once the shortest way to the correct reading is counterclockwise, the needle will go there, then follow back down like normal.
