I have a 03 Montero xls 4wd that has a check engine light on. I took it in and they told me that it was a cylinder 6 miss fire and when they ran the test that there was no compression in cylinder 6. they said that they would have to machine the heads and The Mechanic ran a compression test on the engine.the cylinder 6 miss fire is the only code that reads when they run the diagnostic engine check witch is P0306.
