Unit control by adjustment broke off

The adjustment control on my AC and Heater unit got stuck and when I turned it the plastic part it was attached to broke off. I need to know what part I need to buy to fix it. I tried to attach a jpeg image, but it keeps erroring.

Please post all replies on the first question you asked otherwise i dont get a email telling me you posted a reply.Also i cant scroll down all the replies to see what was said.Lets just stick to this post then.So the temp control **** broke off?Is that what happened?
