2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Only Heated Months Traffic Ilde 600 Rpms 1500 Gets

Only in heated months and in traffic my ilde goes from 600 rpms to 1500+ rpms and gets higher depending on how much traffic but then i get to highway speeds it goes back to normal. Out of ideas...IAC sensor,sticking throttle cable i give up

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Also, you mentioned the IAC... have you checked or replaced it?
