vacuum leak

can i use uv dye to locate a vacuum leak. if so how

Use a vacuum gauge and WD40 inspect all vacuum hoses if okay starts spraying around the intake manifold and throttle base if its leaking there the idle will rise and smooths out and gauge will increase in vacuum
