how do you and how difficult is replacing front shocks

shocks are definitely bad, possibly something else but front shock for sure

The fronts are struts you will need a strut spring compressor wrenches sockects etc.If you have never done them before it will depend on how good you are at working on cars how difficult it will be for you.You will need a alignment afterwards. Also care must be taken not to hurt or kill yourself from the spring poping loose.
