Son lost his key, ordered one on line. Put in turns over won't start. Picture of a car with a key inside comes on the dash. The car was running fine before he lost his key. The new key turns everything on the windows the steering wheel unlocks but will not start. Is there possibly a code that as to be reset because it is a different key with a computer chip inside it that won't let the car start? Please if you can give me any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Vicki

You need to find out from the dealer what chip you need. All they are is a resistor. They all have a different Ohms value (resistance) and it has to match up with what the computer knows it should have.
