2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Oil consumption

I have oil consumption between oil changes. I have white smoke out the exhaust during first start up. I know these car are known for valve stem seal problems but I did look at my pcv valve and I was pretty dirty so I cleaned it. I am unsure if a pcv valve can cause this as well

You mentioned white smoke... Is there a problem with coolant consumption? Also, is there any blue smoke?
