2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse grinding noise

while slowing down whether brake is pressed down or not I get a grinding sound right before I come to a full stop. I also get the same sound when moving from drive to park or from park to drive or reverse

Is it coming from the transmission down shifting? They do make noise.

It is very loud and annoying. It is hard to hear from the outside of the car even when the hood is open. I hear it more from the inside when im sitting in it. When I brought it to a shop they told me it was the motor mount so I got them all replaced and the tranny mount as well
