I have an mitsubishi eclispse GTS v6. Once in awhile it does not accelorate asfast as normal however the rpms still stay about 1-2 when pushing on the gas pedal

if it is a clutch, the clutch may be slipping and need replacement. if it is an automatic, there may be an internal failure.
if they are not the issue, check the fuel pressure and the cat converter.
