No Start

My vehicle will not start or turn over. Key turns but vehicle will not start. The starter has been replaced and the battery has tested good. There is also no communication when connected to the obdII connector. I also have found out the #41 fuse continues to blow. I will replace it and it will blow when the key is turned to the start position. This is the fuse that controls the HEGO, VMV, CMS and PTEC. I have found the abbreviated acronyms Ford uses but have misplaced them. I believe this fuse controls the PCM, the 02 sensors, the evap sensors and something else. Do not quote me on that as I do not know for sure. I have looked at the wiring and everything looks okay so far. A common issue is the 02 sensors shorting out on the exhaust but that does not seem to be the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

try resetting security system first that is one of the reasons for failure to start. fuse 41 supplies power to evap canister and inside car as well as heated oxygen sensor and vapor management valve at left rear of engine. try unplugging them one at a time to see if it quits blowing then that may be the one giving problems or shorted wires. also check fuses 12-23-29 and starter relay all under hood fuse box.

Hey. Thanks for the assistance. I checked everything you mentioned except for the vmv system, which I plan on checking today. I am intrigued by the "resetting the security system" reason as I was wondering about that. The security light on the dash blinks at all times when the battery is connected. I would think it should only blink when the doors are locked and it is activated so I'm definitely going to look into that system. I'll keep you posted.

nope if it's blinking it either needs to be reset or something is wrong with it which a mechanic will have to check with his scanner.

Okay but the computer is not communicating with the obdII.

I am looking for a reset procedure now. I am a mechanic. I am just looking for assistance on an "headache" vehicle I am trying to work on at home.
