clicking sound from underneath car

Whenever we make a hard turn or put the car in reverse, we hear a clicking sound coming from underneath the car towards the front. Is there anything we can do to stop it from clicking, or is there something wrong with the car?

I had the same thing happen for a few days then the transfer case and the transmission ate each other. Get it looked at now
