showing a door is open stays on

I have a vito 115cdi the interior light and the car on the dash board showing a door is open stays on when all the doors is closed. i suspect that one of the door switches is faulty.where on the doors is these swtches situated. please help

Hello,

These switched are located in the door latch itself. There are integrated into the latch. To check the system there are two ways, either you can do to the dealer and they can plug the car in to see each of the door functions or you can test the circuit to see which door the latch is bad on. Most likely it is the drivers door becasue it gets used the most.
