Okay so I have a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege and my car just died on me. The car won't click when trying to start. Before it died, it started and there was this loud noise coming from the passenger side of the engine. It sounded like something was running dried on fluid or as if the engine was going to blow. I drove it about 50 yards (to get into my garage) and it just died. I checked the coolant tank the next day and it was empty but checking in the radiator, it's full (I filled it up on the same day). I was wondering what can be the problem to why it isn't starting? Is it the water pump? Thanks

start with basics, compression, fuel pressure and spark checks. one of them will be missing then we can continue.
