Blue smoke is an indication of oil burning in cylinders or getting to the exhaust system which are mostly caused by worn valve seals.
It is not a failure of amy kind but rather a wear and tear problem and if the smoke is not too bad, I would live with it. Repair cost is not too cheap and just remember to check the engine oil level.
