whats probably wrong?

2003 Lincoln Town Car - after shifting to third gear and slowly accelerating, betwee 35 and 40 I can feel a little either "miss" or ********" or "slipping", what would be the most logical problem?

Matbe torque convertor lockup switch going in and out does it go away at 55 and above?

yes, in fact, from 0 - 35 in first and second gears it does not show up and again after 40 it doesn't show up

Then TC switch is faulty

so, if we have two 2003 Lincoln Towne cars and one has issues with the Torque Converter and the other doesn't - would you say that if we fix the one with a new torque converter, is it less likely, more likely or that the fixed one will have other transmission problems in the near future???
