I want to install a headlamp in a 2003 kia sedona minivan, on the drivers side. The battery is in the way. Can I take out the battery without consequences like loose power to the brain or anything like that or can I take battery out and intall the headlamp and then reinstall the battery and all should work?

You can disconnect the battery and after installation it should work. Always remove the negative terminal first and install it last.

When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer memory system may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist. After disconnecting battery or replacing ECM, drive vehicle to enable ECM to relearn driveability. You may experience driveability different from what they are accustomed to until ECM completes relearn function.
