i have changed the fuel filter on my diesel van but it blows heaps of smoke and misses when revved. could it be the injectors? if so can i clean them?

Diesel fuel injectors cleaning are specialised jobs which requires specialised equipment and trained professionals.
Since it is missing and smoking badly, it could be engine failure. A cylinder could be loosing compression and not firing.
