My vehicle listed above (Sport) runs great until it warms up about ten to fifteen minutes and shuts off when I come to a stop. I cannot figure out what is going on. Help please.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

That can be the result of a few different things. A bad crankshaft position sensor can fail when it gets hot. Also, low fuel pressure can cause a stall.

If the check engine light is on, you need to have the computer scanned to determine what diagnostic trouble codes are stored. The codes will direct us to the problem.

Here is a quick video for you to watch so you have a better idea of what I am referring to by scanning:

If you can, read through these links. They discuss different symptoms and causes.

I realize many people do not own a scanner, but often times, parts stores will do it for free. If the check engine light is on, it needs done. Let me know what codes are found.

Also, let me know if the links I added seem to mirror what you are experiencing, and also let me know if the engine starts right back up after it stalls.

Take care,
Joe

Two things. The 02 sensor can be a problem as well as thermostat issue. Do you have the exact codes that were found? I can most likely diagnose the problem if you have the code. Just knowing there are problems in those areas is very vague.

Let me know,
Joe
