Transmission (D) drive, it doesn't shift (automatic)

Please! can I get help from somebody to solve my Jeep problem!: (D) drive, it doesn't shift (automatic), but it shift manually like (2)(1).

1st step is to check the fluid level with engine running
2nd check for codes (hold trip reset in and cycle ignition key ON OFF 3 times ,last key on and let go of the reset )
codes should show in the odometer area

Most likely a shift solenoid, it is best to have a trans shop repair.
