I purchased a replacement key and it seemed to big and got stuck half way in. I was not able to pull the key out and someone told me that because the key wasn't programmed that the tumblers locked onto it as an anti-theft device. Is that true?

i would not think so! that's way to exotic a measure! i've gotten wrong keys stuck in ignitions before on cheap cars and they wont pull out easy either. i've even experienced the RIGHT key for cars doing the same thing! or the reverse, they wont go in!
