sunroof will not close

My sunroof will not close all the way, just half way then automatically opens fully. What might be the problem? My sunroof opens but once I go to close it all the way, it kicks itself back to open again.

When this happens it means the sun roof motor is pulling too many amps and the controller thinks there is something stuck in the sunroof. Here is a guide to help you change out the sun roof motor.

Check out the diagrams (below).

Thanks for the tip. I had this problem and when I changed the motor out it works perfect.
I got the motor for $126.00.
