rpm thing goes crazy and goes up to 3,000 rpms?

sometimes when i start my car the rpm thing goes crazy and goes up to 3rpms. when im not even hitting the gas. idk whats wrong or how to stop it from accerating... i dont know what to do about this problem can you please help

Hello,

It sounds like an issue with the idle air control valve (IAC).
Hyundai call that part idle speed actuator (ISA).
This could be due to a dirty valve that has a seized pintle and allowing more air to pass, or it could just have a defective stepper motor inside.

Try cleaning out the valve, as many times cleaning out that component can improve the idle quality.
