climate control blows out moisture and smell when turned onto heater mode

when engine reaches normal running temperature and Climate control is switched onto heater mode a very bad smelling moisture is blown out of the vents .(aircon mode works fine)

is it really humid where you are? does it smell like engine coolant? does it do it after rain?
