In park the engine will idle rapidly up and down , I have changed the TPS and no results , I was told it could be the coil pack , so I took a spark plug wire off one at a time and replaced while engine was running and the car idled correctly with spark plug wire off at the coil pack , so could this be a faulty coil pack , thanks

try cleaning the throttle plate on both sides as well as iac hole if you have one then if still doing it check fuel pressure and check for vacuumleaks.
