The SRS indication on my dashboard is in steady mode, the light does turn off. Is there a way to shut it off or to reset it?

The only way to do that is to repair the problem that put it on ion the first place. It goes through a self test every time the key is turned on and if it fails the test, the code gets reset. You have to get the SRS codes read to have a starting point.
